Manual Therapy Program

Manual Therapy is a more specialized form of hands-on physical therapy that incorporates specific soft tissue and joint mobilization techniques.
The Orthopedic Manual Therapy program at PRORehab has continued to grow as more of our therapists have sought certification through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). Currently, there are 19 certified Orthopedic Manual Therapists practicing at PRORehab. That number only continues to grow.

Should I see a Manual Therapist or a "regular therapist"?
All Physical and Occupational Therapists employed by PRORehab have advanced degrees from accredited Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs. As such, every therapist at PRORehab has a background in soft tissue and joint mobilization. Ongoing collaboration and peer to peer continuing education also insures that therapists at PRORehab are kept up to date on the latest research on the value of manual assessments and treatments.
Therapists that have completed their Manual Training certification have advanced skills in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and can assist you and your therapist in your recovery.
